    I am getting an error message when trying to send messages on the Windows 10 Xbox app saying "We Were Unable to Send this Message. Try Again Later." Does anyone know a fix for this? I have tried the suggestion by Microsoft on this page.Why Can’t I Send Messages from Xbox One or Xbox App?
    , and I have not been sending too many messages as this has been happening for the past week.

    Unable to send and possible receive messages

    Hello everyone,

    I am having trouble sending messages on my Xbox one and the Xbox app. On the Xbox one when I go into the messages sidebar/ tap thing I get the following message:

    "We were unable to get your recent messages. Please try again later"

    When I go to send a message on the Xbox one it just has the circular loading icon. On the Xbox app when I go to the messages tab it says the following:

    "Things sure are quiet here. Try sending a message!"

    When I go to send a message via the xbox app it does not work either I get:

    "We were unable to send this message. Try again later."

    Does anyone know why this is happening and how it can be resolved?

    Hello i can seem to send messages from destinylfg.net directly to players also when i log into my xbox.com account i see the following under the messages section " We were unable to load your messages, please try again later.""

    please help.

    Hi,

    We understand that you really need to send a message through Xbox App. Here are steps on how to reset your Xbox App:

    1. Go to Settings.

    2. Go to System (Depending on which Win10 version you have, you might need to skip this and click Apps instead).

    3. Go to Apps & features.

    4. Find Xbox.

    5. Click Advanced Options.

    6. Click Reset button you see there.

    We'll keep an eye on your response.

    Exactly the same thing has happened to me, but a couple of times I have been able to send messages. I don' understand what is going on!? The suggestion offered by the reply to the original message is a possibility but what will resetting the app actually
    do? I don't want to loose anything.

    Any reply is of help but if this takes too long then I will have to just go ahead and reset the app.

    can't access Xboxone/windows10 online security options

    try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account
