We Were Here game chat not working?

I've just bought We Were Here from the Xbox store and I've convinced my partner to do the same, and we were looking forward to playing through the game together.

If you're not familiar, the game is a co-op puzzle adventure, and the only communication you have with your teammate is via two-way walkie-talkies.

The game requires you to be in game-chat, not party chat, so that the radios work. However my partner and I have seemingly tried everything to get them [the radios] to work, to no avail.

Has anyone had this problem? Can anyone help?

Thanks very much! I've had a look on the reddit page and also just done my own research and it seems to be a widespread problem on Xbox and on PC. I think we are just going to stick with party chat for now, but it's a shame; we were looking forward to
using the radios.

The game devs have an official Reddit page there where you can find more info. It looks like this is a common problem among players, and some of the commenters mention just using party chat to communicate instead of the two way radio. I also saw that only
one person can talk at a time, like real life two way radios. Some other people mentioned that they just kept creating new lobbies unitl they got the two way radios to work. Here is the link to the We Were Here Reddit page.

I've seen the two way radio feature used by gamers in YouTube videos. Looks like a lot of fun. Since you both invested money into the game, maybe follow the devs social media for game updates. Even submit bug reports to them so they know it's still an
issue for players.

So, I managed to catch one of my friends online and he said that he faces the same behavior with the headset adapter. He also narrowed down the issue to controllers that have audio jack input. He said that controllers that do not have this input work fine.
We have not experimented with game chat vs party chat - we were in game chat and he was not using headset adapter as it does not work with game chat, but at least we have confirmation that more players face same issue.
