I would take them to court & sue the cheap SOB's

The only remaining course of action for you to take would be to submit a formal notice of dispute directly to Microsoft.

sound like a guy hoping to get rich quick through an out of court settlement. some people will sue for insane amounts of money in the hopes that a company (like microsoft) will settle our of court for a much smaller amount, like say $100,000. the idea behind
this is that a large company like microsoft does not want to be tied up in court for years, even if the person suing will lose in the end. nine times out of ten, it is CHEAPER and EASIER for a company to settle out of court for say $100,000, then spend more
that $500,000 fighting the case over several years. people know this and try to take advantage of this. and as a result, laws get changed making it harder for people with legit lawsuits to sue. so in the end, greedy people like this guy mess up the civil justice
system for every one else. hopefully a judge will throw this out.
