    We have changed all the settings on my account and my daughters account to be able to play...


    We have changed all the settings in my account and in my daughters account to allow for multiplayer use but it still won’t let her play against her friends. Don’t know what else to do.

    Found the setting to change the age rating of the my daughters account and was then able to redeem the game.

    Just to add. My daughter using her child account seems to be able to play her friends now but not sure if its to donwith me messing with the settings or not.

    When we (my daughter and I) want to play together, it gives me the timeout error.

    Is your account set as a child's account? If so you may need to sign into the primary/adult account and change the settings to allow you to play online. I did this for my daughter so she wasn't able to play online when she first started to play on Xbox,
    but since then i have changed it and just set it as age restriction games (I would rather my 7 year old not be playing games like Doom Eternal for example)

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

    You should be able to play while the other account is offline. I have two xbox's. My account has game pass ultimate. It is set to my daughters xbox as its home xbox. My daughter is freely able to download and play games from GamePass while I'm both completely
    offline, and also when I'm logged onto the other xbox that isnt my home xbox.

    I would suggest trying a full power cycle and trying to play the game again
