    Going through the paces for a refund on We Happy Few. This is the last information I have received from Microsoft before the topic got locked.

    "The last resort would be to contact the Developer (Compulsion
    Games)
    of the game and submit a Support Ticket for We Happy Few on the Official Support Portal

    Here is Compulsion games replying to its forum users that a refund would "be at the courtesy of Microsoft." Type the word refund into the search box of their forum. Soooo many requests for information about a refund. I have also formally written to them
    requesting a refund with no response. The www.support.gearboxofsoftware.com address goes to a page that does not exist. Does anyone check to make sure the information they provide is even close to correct?

    It's either up to these companies to do what's right and refund our money or it's up to all the people that got gipped on this game to file a class action lawsuit to get our money back. haha however that works.

    It's broken as in you will randomly fall through the ground and out the game world or get stuck down in the ground. Sections of ground appear to be missing or the texture is missing. Enemy AI is horribly broken to the point the enemies are more decorations
    or things that stand there or wonder aimlessly than they are enemies. I am locked out of playing 2/3rds of the game as one of Sally's first missions freezes on both xbox and pc and through starting a new save game. Almost three months after purchasing a game
    advertised as finished and Ive only got to play Arthur's story or 1/3 of the game due to glitches.

    Just a side note here:

    It might be worth it just to be patient as the dev will more than likely be putting patches out to fix bugs. If you really do hate it, I would suggest following the info below.

    Once again I’m truly sorry to hear about any inconveniences this may have caused. When referring you to contact the Developer, it was to submit a ticket to see if they can fix the issue your experiencing with the game as a refund is not possible.

    You can pursue one, but my request has been denied three times. Even though I have provided an avalanche of proof of the horde of people wanting a refund and how exactly the game is broken. I have researched this issue about as far as I can as just one dude.

    Microsoft support says to contact Compulsion games. Compulsion games says to contact Microsoft. I feel like they know what they are doing and no one wants to take responsibility for releasing this terrible mess of a game too early. They appear to be hoping
    everyone will just go away and forget they were ripped off. They are actively trying to silence me for discussing the idea that we deserve a refund.

    The refund policy can say no refunds all day, but Microsoft still has to play by the rules of commerce. The same policy goes on to state unless state laws say they have too issue a refund. Well i'm pretty sure FALSE ADVERTISING is a state law. You cant sell
    fake/non-working items to people claiming they work.

    Everyone can try this experiment at home. Go to Compulsion Game's website. Type "refund" into the search box of their technical support forum. Look at the hundreds of inquiries about a refund.

    Good luck. You definitely deserve and are likely legally entitled to a refund for this game. But with customer support telling me to contact their legal department instead of doing anything significant to help. I wouldn't hold my breath.

    Xbox's policy on digital games is no returns. This was agreed to at the time of purchase with the purchase agreement. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/b/terms-of-sale Section 16.

    However there can be extreme situations where you could get a refund if the game has a malfunction in it. If that's so, please explain here and we may be able to help if it's not a problem with the game code directly.
    Actually they have started allowing self-refunds as long as the purchase meets a certain set of requirements. So the policy is no longer as strict.

    You can get a refund If You talk to Xbox Support. What do You mean with broken? You could do a Power Cicle on your Xbox, press and hold Power Button for 10 seconds and wait 2 minutes then turn Xbox on again, If It doesn't work You could unistall the game
    and Install It again, check If It works.
