"We don't recognize the game" error

Discus and support "We don't recognize the game" error in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I was excited to see that the xbox app now works with many top PC games.     "We don't recognize the game" error


    I was excited to see that the xbox app now works with many top PC games. I checked to see if Guild Wars 2 was on that list, and it is! I found the game hub, followed it, and saw that some people have already posted pictures and game clips to it.

    Now when I try to record a clip or screenshot and upload it, I get the "Sorry, this capture can't be shared. We don't recognize the game." error message. What must I do to have the xbox app recognize the game?

    It really depends where you are from. If you are from the US and I believe Canada this will be the phone number you call 18004699269 and from there you get to the billing department.

    Never mind this, realized there was a better forum for this and found an answer. I just downloaded the beta app and it is working. Still weird since the official app is supposed to work too.

  5. I get this very same Error for Destiny as well. I may try dropping into the cloud where my other captures are and see if it shows up there instead

  6. I could understand if it's not something that's streaming from XBox but if it's a direct XBox game we should have the ability to share the screenshots and recordings to our XBox feed

    Any news on this?

    Same thing is happening to me, but the beta won't work for me either. Funny how it is still a problem.

    First I would check the MS windows updater for a possible update, then i would check the error code on the support website support.microsoft.com and type that error code in there.

    I would then check the xbox live status of the xbox live support website,

    https://beta.support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status, this should help provide some more insight on what is going on and you can then contact support if you have anymore
