We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live (0x80004005)

I have just recently purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator for my PC. After finishing the download, I started the game and it asked me to sign in to my Xbox account, so I did. I then realized this was my old Xbox account and wanted to remove all my old friends from years ago so I closed the game and went to the Xbox console companion app where I removed all my friends. I then decided to make my profile private so I went to the Xbox website, signed in, and changed all the privacy settings that allows other users to see what I'm doing. After that I started the game again and got this error -

We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live

Sorry, something went wrong. try again in a while. (0x80004005)

It will not let me sign in even though I'm still signed in to the same account on the Xbox Console Companion app which is also the same account I used to purchase the game.

I have tried deleting the game and reinstalling it,

I've tried deleting Xbox Console Companion and reinstalling,

I have tried changing those settings back and retrying to sign back in,

and none of these worked.

Hi, my name is shua. And thanks for the response. The problem is this, when I try to start the game I get an error message like this:

"We Couldn't Sign YouIn To Xbox Live

hi, i just happened to update my xbox app on pc

now im getting the error code as said above on the thread

have also tried all of the possible fixes and none seem to work
