We couldn't find xbox one console with the IP provided.

Have two rigs running windows 10 and Xbox One, all ethernet linked to a single routers lan.

Cant connect to Xbox thru Xbox One App on first PC, it says:

"We couldn't find xbox one console with the IP provided." ... even when i insert IP of the console manually (as it doesnt find it automatically too).

But i can easily connect from another PC, where it finds Xbox automatically.

In the network of the troubled PC i can see Xbox under Media Devices and Other Devices and can successfully ping Xbox with its IP.

Hard reset everything, dvr is turned on everywhere, one live account & region & time zone, latest versions of everything... give up, but still need this feature, pls advice

So I'm trying to stream my Xbox to my Windows 10 laptop. But it won't connect. I've done the steps everyone says to do: make sure they are both on the same sub network, hard reset of laptop and Xbox, clear MAC address. I don't know what else to do and I would
love some help/answers!

 

Hi Fru77y, can you try the following troubleshooting tips to see if it may help? The steps are written for Smart glass but follows the same flow that will work for the Xbox App. Let us know if it helps or not. In the meantime I will go ahead and report
this issue to the developers.

Same problem, and No this did not work for me.

 

Make sure that your network connection profile is set to private. I had the same issue when my network profile was set to public rather than private. If you're running window 10, you can use this guide.

I am have this problem periodically. I have an ASUS router that provides a list of the connected devices and the Xbox is listed. It also has a refresh button in the router GUI to refresh the list. After a refresh, the xbox was immediately detected by
the Win 10 app. So I am guessing there is some interaction there. But why entering the IP address does not work is a mystery to me.

 

Hi Wild, What version of the app are you using? Are you observing the same issue using the latest Xbox App (Beta)?

Same Issue. None of the fixes helped. Not using beta. This is a huge issue for me. I use the Windows 10 app to stream games because my TV is way too laggy. in fact the video is too laggy too. I just use it for the audio while I have the HDMI plugged into
my PC monitor. (My monitor doesn't have any speakers)

Well, I tried the beta and I am still unable to connect. I tried to manually type in my Xbox's ip (192.168.1.2) and it was still unable to detect anything. I've even tried disabling my firewall. Do I need to select any different setting on my Xbox so it
recognizes the beta Xbox App?

 

Sorry for the double post, but I thought this would be useful information.

I downloaded Smart Glass. It still wouldn't connect and gave me an error message saying, "We can't connect to your console right now. 8000001e."

Filed a report through the app like you suggested, Best. I'll check back periodically for any feedback or a fix and post if I find anything else out. Maybe there's some kind of bug in the current Xbox One firmware?
