    We couldn't find an Xbox One console with the IP address provided.


    I for the life of me cannot seem to get my Xbox One S to connect to the Xbox App on both my Windows 10 PC and phone. My console is fully connected to the internet on a 5ghz band on my dual band asus router. I am able to cast to my Xbox and everything else
    yet I am not able to connect to the Xbox app. It will not detect it and still will not detect it when I enter the manual IP of the system. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I can provide more information if needed.

    So I'm trying to stream my Xbox to my Windows 10 laptop. But it won't connect. I've done the steps everyone says to do: make sure they are both on the same sub network, hard reset of laptop and Xbox, clear MAC address. I don't know what else to do and I would

    Are the following 2 options enabled on your console?

    1. Under This Xbox, select Allow game streaming to other devices.
    2. Under Other devices, select Allow connections from any device or
      Only from profiles signed in on this Xbox.

    Also, check to make sure AP isolation is not enabled on your router settings - which it should not by default.

    To fix mine that was doing the same thing I went into the router settings by putting the IP address (Gateway) into the address bar. I updated the router and under the wireless settings I changed the bandwidth from 20/40MHz to 20MHz
    (I read online that this is recommended for a 2.4GHz network). Now it works fine.
