Same problem here as well.

 

I am also having this issue. I have...

1. Properly hard power cycled the Xbox One

2. Restarted my computer

3. Deleted Xbox from list and added it again.

4. Made sure no other device was connected with Glass app.

I notice it will sometimes connect and disconnect over and over again and then it will disconnect completely.

The XBox is hard wired the computer is on a fast WiFi connection. I was able to stream fine when the feature was still in testing via preview.

I'm currently downloading the Beta Version of XBox for Win 10 and will report my findings ASAP.

 

Well tried the BETA version and thought it was going to fix the issue. This is what happened...

Connected to the XBox instantly and provided the "Stream" option. Clicked stream and got a message about loging into my account (the xbox is already logged into the account as it is set to auto log in and the XBOX app is logged in as well.

Where to go from here?

 

So messing around some more and finding that the BETA is an older version than the one installed on my computer. It seems to do better at connecting initially so I was able to do "Test Streaming"

It said...

"Can't stream because either the XBOX app or your console needs to be updated. Make Sure they're both up to date and try again."

I'm pretty sure the last update I got on my Xbone was on the 5th or so of December.

 

I wonder if it has to do with the name I gave my console? Is it possible the length of the name is messing things up?

 

Nope that didn't work either. Giving up for the night.

One thing I did notice is that I can't get a stable connection to my XBOX Glass app on my phone. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

 

I found you can temporarily get this to work by resetting the console. This is done by holding the power button for ten seconds on the xbone.

 

I believe this issue is PC side. I am currently experiencing the same issue. I can connect to the system, but any time I attempt to stream I am told that it is disabled on the console(which it isn't). On my laptop it works fine though. Primary difference
being the pc is win10 pro N and the laptop is win10 home. The console is hard lined as well as well as my pc to the same router, but the laptop is wifi.

I have been using the feature since release with minimal problems, but now I can't stream at all. I have tried different accounts, re-installing the app, hard resetting the console/PC, checking the network settings, and PC specs are well above requirements.
If anyone has other ideas I would greatly appreciate the help.

 

I'm having a similar issue. My Xbox is on, but the app doesn't recognise that its on or let me connect. It was working fine yesterday.

 

I can get the smartglass app on an iPad to connect to the Xbox.

I can get the fallout4 app on an android device to connect to the Xbox.

I cannot get my Xbox app on a Microsoft tablet to connect to a Xbox one.

I have a packet capture demonstrating communication between the Xbox one & the surface pro when the Xbox app attempts to connect. It clearly shows UDP traffic back and forth between the boxes- but I don't get to connect and the error is the same as everyone
