    Device specifications:

    Laptop - 2018 MacBook Pro

    Intel i5

    8 GB

    Windows 10 (BOOTCAMP)

    Context:

    I am trying to stream my Xbox to my laptop for a better (higher resolution) gaming experience. When trying to connect, I get met with this message: "We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network
    as this device."

    I have been through multiple troubleshooting stuff like hard resetting my Xbox and laptop, updating my Companion app, and switching to a hotspot. None of these have worked.

    I have talked through someone on the "Get Help" app and unfortunately they went through all of what they knew about it and none of it worked.

    Am I out of luck or is there something to do about this?

    XBox App Not working once IP address changed

    I used Powershell to uninstall the xbox app and then reinstalled it. Still have the same issue.

    We get the Add a device screen, it shows our xbox and I click connect. We then get We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device.

    As usual, I can ping the xbox without a problem.

    Windows 10 preview build 10547 - Xbox streaming broken

    This is happening for me too. I did manage to get it to work last night. I'm not sure of what I did, but this morning, the controller input is breaking the app again like everyone else here. Also in this new build, sometimes when I go to Connect, I get a
    message saying:

    "We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device."

    This issue never happened in the prior build for me.

    I can see the console on my xbox companion app but when I try to connect, it says "We coudn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device"

    It is on and connected to the network. This started about 2 weeks ago it worked fine until then

    This used to work to wake the X1 from sleep and now it does not. I can connect fine when the X1 is already on.

    The SmartGlass setting on X1 is still set for allow all connections.

    I am using Win10 X1 SmartGlass app.
