We can't show your friends right now. Something went wrong. Invalid Pointer.

I have been to both the xbox support chat and the microsoft support chat and neither has been able to fix the issue I am having. Today My friends list was able to be seen. After a match had ended I was going to invite someone. I noticed the message in the
title where friends show up. I can only see what is on the recent players tab and the followers tab. Nothing from the All, clubs or friends tabs. I have tried clearing cache with WSreset.exe , Uninstalled and reinstalled with "get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp*
| remove-appxpackage". Still with no luck on the it showing up. Any other ideas would be helpful at this point. I noticed after searching that this problem has been going on since late 2014.

Not sure if this means anything to anybody but when I've tried the Xbox Beta App it says "Invalid Pointer" instead of "Something went wrong" below the we can't show your friends message.

To better help you with your concern, we recommend that you run the troubleshooter for Windows apps from this link. 
 

If you are still experiencing the same issue, we suggest that you do the WSReset.exe one more time.

1. Press Windows key + X on your keyboard. 
2. Click on Command Prompt (Admin). 
3. Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.  Close the Command prompt, and then launch Windows Store. 
4. Update the Xbox App in the Windows Store.  
5. If there is no option for you to update it, uninstall and reinstall the app.

I have done that as I stated. I have also gone into the apps&features for Xbox app and in the advanced properties and reset the app "If it isn't working right" Yesterday I gave my account info to my brother to sign in on his computer and it did NOT work
on his either. He then signed in on his account and his friends list was fine. I made an alternate Xbox silver account and the friends list works just fine. It is something with my account on Xbox end that is the issue. Even after an update today from the
xbox app didnt change anything.
