WE are unable to open Fortnite , we have downloaded it but it just don't start up.

Fortnite not loading

After the most recent update for Fortnite, I am unable to open the game. When I click on the game on the home page it switches to the Fortnite loading screen and then goes back to the home screen and gives me error messages saying "something went wrong."
One of the error codes was 0x800705b4 which I searched on xbox.com/errorhelp, and I was instructed to uninstall the game and then install the game again. I did this but I am still unable to open the game. I have tried turning the xbox on and off and disconnecting
from the internet but nothing seems to be working. Please help!

Can't play Fornite.... tells me I need Xbox live, but my subscription doesn't expire until 2020?????

Pretty frustrated... My son is unable to play his game because it says I need xbox live to play fortnite.. our xbox live account does not expire until 2020.... we can see his friends online playing, so we are connected to the internet, but can't get into
fortnite.. please help

Solutions:

1. Turn off the console and unplug it for 30 seconds to clear cache. This usually fixes it.

2. Remove and redownload your profile:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-account-xbox-one (this does not affect save games at all)

3. Factory reset keeping games and apps (this usually fixes the "took too long" errors): Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps". (requires account redownload as well).

4. Redownload the game. Go to My Games and Apps > Games > Push START (3 lines button) on Fortnite > Uninstall. Turn off the console and unplug for 30 seconds and then boot back up and go to My Games and Apps > Ready to install > Select Fortnite with A and
reinstall Fortnite.

5. Contact Xbox support to see if there's a problem with digital licenses on your account:

Everything matches email wise. When we try and log into fortnite it says unable to sign into your account for xbox live

Thank you George, unfortunately now we are unable to download fortnite it stops the install after around 2GB like it does with the other games. 😢

Hello again, unfortunately this is a Fortnite bug, and we don't know when Epic will release a fix.

But we can try an alternative, if you have a Windows PC, open a browser and try to start Fortnite via Xcloud with your Microsoft account and see if you can mark and correctly accept the date of birth.
