"We are not able to save more data for this game or app." (0x80830003)

Hello.

I have been bumping into this error fairly regularly now, and it is starting to become annoying.

The error code displays as written:

"We are not able to save more data for this game or app.



You Xbox is out of space for saved data. To make room, select a game or app in your games and apps collection, press the menu button on your controller, and choose Manage. (0x80830003)"

This has happened in the past with Fallout 4, and literally rendered the game able to save maybe 3 or 4 files before highlighting the same message. Now it is happening on Mass Effect: Andromeda and Elder Scrolls Online.

My current HDD is a 500GB stock internal Xbox One, never changed or replaced. It is 81.1% Used (68.9GB free of 364.9GB,) so 69GB of free space. When navigating to manage either games I have a 173.7KB file on ESO and a 39.7MB file on ME:A.

After checking the error code section, this error code is either undocumented or straight up doesn't exist.

Troubleshooting steps attempted:

• Hard reset console (multiple times) hard power removed from the machine.

• Power cycle network equipment, everything in front of the modem and the modem itself.

• Offline mode yields the same results.

• Deleted reserved space on other games.

For clarity my HDD has 7 game installations and all permanent apps, no extras. The 7 games include:

Destiny, ME:A, Overwatch, Skyrim, A Private Test Build, Terraria and Elder Scrolls Online.

Any clarity or further troubleshooting would be a big help.

Hey there SonicAce88.

Generally this issue pops up when you start reaching your cloud storage maximum. Cloud storage availability directly correlates with the amount of games you own on your Xbox One. Generally clearing past saves or the purchase of a new game should clear this
up. Have you also tried saving the game while disconnected from Xbox Live?

 

I might have fixed it, it's not a Storage issue as the prompts would have you believe. I think it is something to do with syncing with the cloud/being incorrectly synced or in a bad state.

I disconnected wireless from the consoles Network menu, Hard reset the console (removed hard power,) powered on the Xbox, re-entered details for the wireless network and re-connected to Xbox Live and have not encountered it yet.

This error code (A) needs documentation and (B) needs correctly prompting on the console itself.

That error tends to pop up when people have numerous mods installed in games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. The best thing to do is disable them and uninstall them all and see if that helps resolve the issue. If so, you'll want to re-add them one at a time until
you can figure out which one is causing the issue.

If you have further issues with mods, you'll want to check with the Fallout 4 or Skyrim communities on their respective sites.

Hey thanks for the reply.

How would I go about accessing installed content/save games, when the game isn't Installed? For instance my FO4 is no longer installed but I have DLC's and maybe Mods on some files, which I can't access without the game being on the system?

 

Hey Lime! You'll want to open up your Settings menu and navigate to your
Storage option. From there, open up the Manage leftover add-ons menu. you should be able to delete anything leftover from your uninstall there.

Allows for a blanket removal of stuff, I guess I will install FO4 again and try to be a little more surgical with it. I'll let you know what I can get working.
