Wd wont show my games on external

so ive had my western digital hd for 3 yeara now. No big issues just something annoying that has happend either with a recent update or something. You see when i go to my games and app preview all it ever shows is my xbox 360 games. For some reason it tells
me to reinstall my xbox one games back on to my external. But i can easily play them when i go to the game section or to the store. I need to now pin all my downloaded games to the home page. This has happened since the beginning of april 2017. Please help
anyone have easy solutions i just want my xbox one games to show up on my games and app page without me further going to the store and seatching for them

Preview program problems

my xbox one wont detect my 2tb wd external hard drive. And than my xbox turns on by itself.

External harddrive for media not recognised by Xbox one

Same here. I have WD 3tb external. No problems pre update, now, it wont recognize the drive or my games. First it would pop up saying HD ready after the update, now it wont even do that. It doesn't recognize it at all to even reformat on the console either.

Hey there!

Have you tried plugging your external HDD into a different USB port of your console? If that doesn't work, you may want to try reformatting your external HDD and reinstalling the content. I know that's not an ideal solution but it's a necessary step to try.

I have a problem with my WD my book external hd. We lost power, a week ago, then all I could get to show on both internal, and external hd's, was the 360 games, I had downloaded a while back, not any of my xbx1 games. I finally unplugged my external wd
my book hd, and all my xbx1 games appeared. I'm not sure why, but I am guessing the power outage did something to my my book hd. I now show only xbx1 games, no 360 games, doesn't make sense. I just might buy a Seagate 1 or 2 tb hd, see if it works out better,
don't know how to check wd hd to see if it is functioning proper.

Hello welcome to the forums!

Some external hard drives when they have a lot of games on storage they don't load all the games on my game and apps.

I have a WD that do that, i only need to olay a game and go back to my game and apps and it shows me all the games

Have you tested if that WD External drive works properly on a PC? Is that a WD My Book or a WD Elements Desktop drive?

I would consider testing the drive's health with
WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic and see if the device is operating properly.

Are you using the same power outlet to power both the console and the External Drive? I would try using different power outlets.
