    So I have Astro a50 Gen 4s everything is up to date when it comes to firmware I can hear fine but I can’t use my mic on Xbox and what I mean by that is it works perfectly fine on pc. I’ve checked everything around troubleshooting/checking settings and nothing is working.

    I have tried many ways and several times to unmute the mic icon on the top right corner of my homepage. My headphones, nor my mic works. My controller is wireless but my headphones/mic plugs directly into the xbox controller. It was working fine
    a few days ago and now it's not working at all. The headset is new. Any ideas?
    Try turning the xbox off and then turn the console back on with your mic already plugged into your controller. If that doesnt work try going into settings and see if updating the controller works

    Make sure the headset is compatable with the Xbox. Make sure your console settings aren’t wonky, they could be prohibiting the mic from working. Is it just the mic that isn’t working or the headset all together?

    Problems with headset adapter, I'm using Turtle Beach X07 Headset. Don't buy the Polk 4 shot, thank me later.

    I get this problem a lot. The only way I can fix it is to reboot my xbox. Then the mic starts working again.

    That won't work at all. There's no way for the Mic audio to get to the Xbox. You have to plug the headset into the controller for the mic to work, or use a licensed USB or wireless based peripheral.
