Way to Lie Phil Spencer

I realize that a company has to be fairly aloof when it comes to its future plans as to not give anything up to the competition. That being said not even two months ago Phil spencer was quoted as saying that there would be no mid generation upgrade to consoles
I took him at his word and went and bought the xbox 1 just to see that in two months the slim will be out... dirty pool xbox you got me this time but maybe a ps4.5 will look better on my shelf then your Scorpio.

I think you misunderstood him. He said there would be no "Xbox 1.5" and that any upgrade would be substantial. That also has nothing to do with the slim model you're complaining about. That's a slim redesign, not a hardware upgrade.

 

Actually it is a slight hardware upgrade because it will do HDR and will do 4K video playback the current Xbox One models that are out will not presently do that. The major upgrade though will be scorpio.

 

I fully realize that the scorpio is the big upgrade ... that being said it's a hard pill to swallow for those of us who in as short as 2 months acted by the comments made by Phil, then only to find out Oh why yes there is actually a machine we are releasing
that's smaller a bit better and cheaper..

 

Buy a PS 4.5 then and enjoy crapper gaming.

 

It's 4.5 times more powerful than the Xbox one. It's a big leap in power!

Depending on where and how long ago you bought it, return it in exchange for slime model. At least you:ll get a better console (spec wise. internal power supply though) and in so doing. Feel as if it wasnt a total lose.

 

You misunderstood what he said then. He didn't lie at all. Games still play exactly the same as the Xboxone you bought.
