  1. Way for Series S owners to play disk games!

I personally would love to see an external drive for the series s. It can connect via usb. I think this would be a smart idea for Xbox to come out with thanks.

Transferring an x-box one game onto an x-box series s console

Did you own it on disk? In order to play it, the disk needs to be in the drive to prove you own the game. Since the Series S doesn't have a disk drive, you would need to own it digitally in order to be able to play it. Since the game is no longer available for digital purchase, there would be no way to play it on the Series S unless you had previously purchased it digitally.

xbox live arcade and backwards compatibility

    No to requiring gold

Yes and no about the xbox one to series s /x

If you are going to series s only digital games will work

If you are going to series x both disk and digital will work as long as you have the disk to validate each time you play that game

Some of my games no longer require the Disc inserted to Play. Why is this?

Yes that´s the reason why you need the disc to play the game. Although frankly I confess that it would be good if MIcrosoft found a way to authenticate that you are the owner or that you paid for the game, and will be not necessary to change disc each time
you go to change the game. What is the point of installing the game on the console if you still need the disk to play it, better reserve the space of the hard disk.

How to transfer games from our late father's Xbox One to our new Xbox S?

Well no only digital games will work on xbox series s

Disk gamed cant be ruined on series s only by upgrading to serirs x can you use disks gsmes

Series S wont recognize installed games

Well first xbox series s wont install disk games. It will only play digital bought games not disk games you need a non digital console like xbox one )not digital editions ) or series x

Second you need patches for upgraded games especially for the compression chip and you would get the appropriate files for the series s via smart delivrry if compatible
