Wave Pattern on bottom of Disc

Recently, I was playing my copy of Forza Horizon 3, when suddenly my game crashed. I was used to it, so I didn't think much of it. However, when I relaunched the game, it failed to load. I repeatedly tried to launch, but to no avail. Upon inspecting the
disc, the metallic center seemed to have an unfamiliar wave-like pattern that does not resemble any other disc for my Xbox. As a dedicated player, please try to give me an explanation and solutions to my problem.

on console looks x1 a square with a curve on the front at the bottom of the console followed by a black and dark grey pattern. Ps4 looks similar as far as the black and grey pattern follows but it looks like a skinny eraser with a curve at the bottom

Weird Wavy Disc Pattern?

Hello everyone!

for a while, ever since I got my console in the first place, when i try to install a game using a disc i bought, it creates a weird wavy pattern on the disc and makes some of the discs unplayable. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong or how to fix this? no
misuse has happened to my console, it has stayed in the same position in my house, or very carefully carried around.

I'm sorry to see any disc issues! It sounds like the disc itself might have warped and is causing issues with the console. If the disc doesn't work on any other consoles, unfortunately you would need to replace the disc.

I let the disc sit for a week, and after that it works completely fine. I do appreciate the answer though!

Looks like condensation waving. It doesn't really hurt the disc and is really an environmental problem. Some extreme climates (either too humid or too arid) can run that risk. Also make sure the xbox isn't enclosed and is getting plenty of air circulation
so it doesn't heat up to extreme and make sure you have the power plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. That way the capacitors don't overheat and cause more build up.

Overall you should be fine though. Keep and eye on your performance and as long as everything works ok then you should be alright.
