Water on controller

Just recently, either my wife or daughter knock over a cup of water and a good amount was spilled on the controller. The next day, after it was dry, I tried playing Madden 15 the next day but it was doing crazy things. At some points, it will turn off or
disconnect on its own. At other times, a few buttons were not operating as they should. Is there anything I can do about that or will it not function any longer because of water damage? Thank you!!

somehow it did

yea my controller was face up on the floor and my xbox was on in the dashboard my screen was grayed when it goes to wate mode

Water on/in console

if its not too late, then get a very large container, fill it with rice. Place the xbox inside of there and you should be okay hopefully. I do this with my cell phone when I get it wet and it works perfectly.

You could try putting it down in a bag of rice to fully dry it out but as soon as it was wet you should have removed the batteries and done this.

just left-trigger (default controls) on the water/lava with the bucket equipped...the water/lava has to be a "source block" though, meaning it has to be still...it won't work on flowing water/lava.....you can also use it on cows to get milk

This is a bad idea. Water and electronic components do not mix.

xbox wireless controller would be a better course of action than putting water anywhere near a console or controller.
