Water Damage on Xbox One S... intermittent issues.

as it was on and you have repeatedly tried turning it on then corrosion will have happened, it will be beyond repair and would be easier to replace, it is not safe to keep plugged in.

a repair shop might be able to replace components on the board but that kind of repair never lasts and it may cost more than actually replacing the entire xbox.

to late damage is done, when liquid hits electricals while power is running corrosion happens super quick, will not be safe to use and poses a fire risk, even if dried out.

As long as you purchased
Microsoft Complete for your console at the time of purchase [or within 45 days] you would actually be covered for accidental damage.

However, the description you made, appear to denote that you have one of the original Xbox One consoles. The original Xbox One console is no longer manufactured by Microsoft, nor is the console PSU. As a result, out-of-warranty support is no longer
available for this particular product.

If having your console unplugged for a few hours while your console dries, doesn't actually allow you to power on your console, then its possible then that the only other alternative would have to be to purhcase a new console at this state.

Is this always the case? My son spilled a minimal amount of liquid on his. We did not repeatedly turn it on and off. I have taken it apart cleaned it, replaced the power supply, cleaned the entire board (no signs of corrosion), re-soldered areas that was
recommended and nothing. It still will not turn on? I am a single mom and my money is tight since all of this covid stuff. Do you have any pointers you might could share?
