Water damage any tips?

Well haven't used my x box in a while only to find out my cat has been using it as a literbox so now it is completely and utterly drenched, so bad it's most likely fried, any tips on attempting a clean up of it before I drop money on a brand new one that
I can't afford

I spilled water on my Xbox and it got in the heatsink and in the power port on the back. The power brick when plugged in turns on its orange light but when I plug it into the Xbox the power brick shuts off. Does anyone know if this is a power brick problem
or a problem with the console itself?

I'm assuming this Xbox is completely out of warranty. I doubt this is covered by warranty anyway (but by all means,
check!). If the Xbox has NOT been connected to power at any time after it got wet, you probably have some vague hope of keeping it alive. If you have plugged it in, chances are a short has
fried the motherboard and has effectively rendered the console as a brick.

I'm assuming that drying off the outside with a towel will not suffice; I'm assuming all of the cat-liquids have seeped inside.

I'd save your pennies for a new Xbox One.

If you're console is broken due to liquid damage the only thing you can do it send it for repair. Also you're going to need to pay the service fee required by the service center as it's not a malfunction of the hardware (even if you're in warranty). Please
do not attempt ANY DIY fixes as consoles that have been tampered with have no warranty what so ever, and you'll need to purchase a brand new one. Follow this link to send your console in for
repairs.
