watching Netflix screen goes a bit dark and then half the screen gets the controller picture ...

So just started happening a week ago, while watching Netflix about 10 mins in or so, the screen gets dark, Netflix still running in the background, then after a few seconds the right hand side of the screen slides in the notification
tile, like when the controller is off or just like being on the home page and you walk away for 10 mins or so. I just press pause on the media remote and then pause again, Netflix pauses and then comes back as normal, then in ten minutes or so it happens again.
Does not happen during games, but then using the controller all the time, but it also does not happen with a DVD/Blu Ray playing.

Again this just started happening, may have been an update in the last week or so, but don't know for sure,

thanks for any help, it sucks to hold the remote and keeping pausing every time it happens.

Gamestop HDMI cables and the dreaded black screen help

I've been using netflix on my 360 for the past year and a half using standard definition cables on my HDTV. I recently purchased HDMI cables from LameStop...And the screen goes from the netflix title screen, to a pitch black screen. Is
there something in my xbox settings I need to change...Or do I need to bite the bullet and get a better set of cables?

 

Netflix stopped working

when I try to use Netflix, the screen goes black for a bit then I get a message saying the secure connection between your console and your TV has been lost. I've been watching HBOGo and Hulu all day with no issue, the only app that does it is Netflix. Any
ideas?

 

Hi Brand1954,

When you can let's try changing the
power settings for the console and check if the issue remains. Also, please make sure your console is plugged directly into a wall socket.
