Watchdogs to have GTA Style free roam mode

Ubisoft confirmed that Watchdogs will feature an 8 player Free roam mode, initially not present or revealed.

Watch Dogs has 8-player online freeroam multiplayer mode

So that's what they wanted to add into the game. Could be great fun if all the hackable nature of the city remains, which I would expect it to. I thought the GTA V multiplayer was a bust. I had fun, but losing money to deaths even by friends was borderline
frustrating.

You'll be playing "Ryse"'s online mode for longer than you'll be playing Free Roam on "Watchdogs".

 

How do i get to free mode in GTA V

when you load up gta online you are in free mode or free roam.

 

Hey that's pretty cool. I agree that GTA online (I didn't play it but knew the concept) sounded like an annoyance. I do think that sort of multiplayer gameplay could do well but free roam always felt a little "hang out" to me and bordered on novelty. I think
the right mix and the right game could hit it off pretty good. Thanks for the info mate.

I remember that Ubisoft shows someone drop in someone else solo game and tried to hack his phone....Something close of AC multiplayers....

 

Yeah, that may be a campaign thing though, even though I'm pretty sure giving people free range to troll is a bad idea.

Too bad the game looks like donkey butt now.

 

It certainly doesn't seem to match the quality shown at E3 2012, I'll give you that.

 

Gameplay and fresh ideas....

But after,watching the trailer,story seems to look like a Steven Seagal movie..."His family dies and he wants revenge"....I hope it goes beyond that and can justify our evil act if we want to act that way.

 

It looks like a Batman story to me if I bring it down to it's most basic form. Wife killed, Vigilante working to bring down the system by using it for his own gain, the killers of his wife are wrapped up in a corrupted surveillance system that he can hack
into, and he is going to hit them again and again until he finally gets his revenge.

I'm probably not far off.

 

I cannot get interested in this game, I have tried and tried. But for some reason it does not look that good to me. Even with the free roam.

 

It looks just like GTA, but a more technologically advanced version. Looks very playable though. I can't ever get enough of cops chasing me in a game, so I'd get it for that alone.

 

I was excited for this game, but the excitement has died down (still buying the game) and it has nothing to do with the graphics. I'm interested to hear more about the multiplayer.
