Watch_Dogs Doesn't Load!

Hello! I have been having a problem with Watch_Dogs. When I put the game in and I load it up it just says "A Device containing required content has been removed. this game will restart." I am Playing it on the Xbox 360 Arcade Console and I have the game
disc and I have downloaded the Installation disc. Can any one help me? Thanks!

All Game Saves Lost

Hi

I finished Ryse last night and when I went on this morning it treated me as if I've just bought it. My Titanfall won't load (Failed to load profile). Max: Curse of the Brotherhood won't load. Halo: Spartan **** won't load and neither will Watch_Dogs.

This is reeeaaallly annoying me. Anyone know a cure?

 

Game doesn't load

Click app page comes up and then does nothing. After few minutes page closes.

Deleted app and reinstalled and still have same problem. HELP!!

 

Hey there, so what are you using for a storage device? Do you know if there is a mandatory install of the one of the discs? (I assume there's two discs, I've only played this on the Xbox One).

I say this because you're on the arcade console and I don't believe they came with a HDD and your internal memory could be full which is causing the issues. This is a fairly big guess though, post back with what you're using for storage.

 

Yes, There are 2 different discs one is for installation and the other is for playing the game. My Hard Drive has 120 GBs and only 55.9 GBs Left. I bought this console around 2010 and got my hard drive around 2012.

 

So is the HDD an official Xbox one or a 3rd party?

If it's not the official HDD then that might be why it's having issues as it looks like it can't see the HDD anymore, can you still see your save data on there? If so maybe try moving to a USB and seeing what happens:

Sir, I dont have an Xbox One, I just have the Xbox 360 Arcade. With an Hard Drive that I bought at Gamestop. I believe the Hard Disc Drive was a copy from Gamestop, It was a gift, I didnt buy it.

 

I never said you had an Xbox One? What?

I'm asking if the HDD (hard drive) is an official Xbox product You should be able to tell this buy looking underneath and there will be a hologram sticker, like the one of top surface of the controller where you plug in the charge cable.

HDD that are not official Xbox ones have the tendency to corrupt and stop functioning correctly, so the first step is trying to narrow the issue down to whether it's the game, console or HDD. If you can install the game and save files to formatted USB you
will be able to see if you can get it to work that way which mean it is the HDD....

 

An HDD is a Hard Disc Drive. An HD is Hard Drive. Yes, My Hard Drive has a hologram sticker, when you said Xbox ones I thought you meant Xbox One, I dont know what is wrong with the console if it is just my xbox or if it is the disc, maybe it is the hard
drive. I did do what you considered which was putting it on my USB, That didnt work either I got the same message, "A Device containing required content has been removed. this game will restart." I do have an HD Tv with the HDMI plug in if that helps any more.

 

Sorry about the confusion with HDD, some of the support articles refer to the detachable hard drive as a HDD (I think), anyway I have found people with the same issue as you in the Watch Dog section of the forums and they have said this has solved the issue:

-Delete the watch dogs from your hard disk.

-Get a 8gb or 16gb USB disk.

-Format it with the xbox.

-Install disc 1 onto the usb drive

-put in the disc 2 when prompted and the game will start.

-when prompted use the hard disk for saved games.

Is that how you tried to USB? If not I would give it a go following those steps.

 

1. Will this work with an 14.1 GB USB? I have had this already formatted and I will try what you and other people have said.

 

Well the above does say a 8gb or 36gb so a 14gb should be perfectly fine.

But then, If I unplug my USB and plug it back into the xbox will I have to refurbish/format it back onto the console?
