I didn't find anything wrong with the camera personally, and the driving is no different to any other game of this genre, you get used to it and once you have a few hours under your belt, you can hoon around no problem at all.

 

driving is part of the game to get you from a to be quickly, is not a driving game, it doesn't matter if its not a perfect driving experience.

totally agree with what Genchy's post says which happens to be the 700th post of the thread by the way.

 

See this is the only game that I have maxed out the G on this generation. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Though I do have to ask a few questions about the DLC that I see up for £5 - £6. Does that come with achievements (for the levels or for the stand alone
digital trip DLC) and why is it only 8mb? Can I take it that this is on disc DLC that unlocks via the triggered 8mb download?

Has anyone that paid for this DLC think its worth it?

 

Its the only game I have ever maxed the 1000 (although I will finish max curse f the brotherhood eventually)

TBH i don't want the DLC, IMO i have finished the game and I am happy to move on, I only know one person who has purchased the DLC and he's not been on for a few weeks, so no to your questions.

 

No it's not worth it, the DLC is three short missions and no Cheevos, it was free if you pre ordered from Game (I think) avoid!

The camera is fine, just not when you drive because it doesn't keep up with the vehicle as it turns. It's not the only game that does this, the same as with the slippy slidey handling.

In most situations it's not too much of a problem, but the game falls down during car chases. Which is a shame. It's very fiddly timing the hacks to take the enemy vehicles out, and that's what the game wants you to do which is why the AI is constantly right
on your tail.

The game is a flawed gem, but a bit too flawed. It has a lot of good ideas but a lot of problems. The multiplayer for instance is subject to a lot of randomness: you might get hacked in a relativey empty region of the map, or you might get hacked where there
are lots of people and lots of places to hide and it makes a big difference.

 

I do agree, there could be improvements, but as a starting point I think it does the job and is a great platform to build on. looking forward to WD 2

 

How exactly is pressing one button when you have a visual and audible prompt fiddly? Its not like you have a combo to press.

 

I don't get these crimes you solve. You have to sit there knowing that something's going to happen, but you fail if you stop the criminal before he kills the victim?!

 

because although you stopped the crime, you didn't show to the public your crime fighting, they are there to boost your reputation, but the general public don't know there was going to be a crime unless you let it go ahead.

 

You dont fail if you stop the criminal before he kills the victim. You actually score higher with XP if you stop the criminal before he kils his victim. You still get XP if you stop him after he kills or committs a crime because you have still taken the
crimnial out of the loop. You fail if you intervene too early and alert the potential offender to your watching him. You can only take action when the Ctos system suggests you intervene.

 

Speaking of rep, I pretty much went through the last 20% of the game with the city hating me lol. My rep (after I went on a police - kill rampage) just shot down.

Thanks for the answers on the DLC, for the simple fact there are no achievements I will not be investing. If they bring out DLC with achievements, I may change my mind.

 

The game is so much harder if your rep is poor! I went on a rampage to get the five star police scan cheevo, popped the cheevo and escaped. Great I thought soon as I exited my vehicle about twenty citizens called the Rozzers on me!

 

How is everybody getting on with the online hacking? I have to admit its a guilty pleasure for me invading somebody else's game, and watching them run around like a headless chicken

 

I haven't invaded anyone myself. Tried to tail a few people but they Sussed me straight away? Quite enjoyed the online racing, did a few ctos challenges with some lunatic, but I can't remember his name.......
