Watch Dogs Rant

I'd like to first start off by saying... I blame myself for not waiting or doing thorough research into this game. I only looked at some of the trailers and saw that this game had won over 90 E3 awards and nominations. I bought this game instantly after
its release with high hopes. That being said...

This game is just complete garbage on the 360. Graphics are horrible, gameplay is weak, hacking abilities is not appealing or fun in the slightest. I'm just absolutely amazed and horrified on how this game managed to get such good reviews. GTAV is an absolute
masterpiece compared to this. I'm terribly annoyed with myself that I threw away $60 on this game. The only good thing about Watch Dogs is its story, but I don't care enough to play through the game to find out the ending.

Highly overrated and over hyped game. Holy !@#$%

I've got a friend having some issues with the 360 version as well. I've been having a blast on the Xbox One and haven't even come across a glitch.

and I thought people were saying it was developed for last generation? Well I'm not truly seeing the benefits of next gen.

 

I heard it was pretty terribad on 360. I'm not even going to bother. Only get it if you have a good PC or next gen console where the game really shines.

 

I'd like to first start off by saying, this game is so much better than GTAV. That's not to say GTAV is a bad game. In fact, it was a great game. Watch_Dogs just does everything better. Except for the driving, which I don't really care about. And that functions
well enough.

I don't know anything about the 360 version. I don't play last gen games anymore. You say the graphics suck? Sounds like a personal problem to me. There has never been a game in the history of games that is universally loved by everyone. On the contrary,
the more people raving about how amazing a game is, will always bring out some kid who likes an other game more

But hey, to each his own. You don't like Watch_Dogs? Don't play it. Go do some yoga in GTA. I'm sure you thought that was amazing.

Doing yoga in GTAV sounds more amazing than playing Watch Dogs.

 

It would be nice if people actually wrote critiques instead of just their disdain about a game.

 

Ive seen quite a few videos of the game on PC and they are full of glitches. Ive watched the first few episodes of walkthroughs and noticed things but this video is points out the funny parts. It highlights glitches like cars driving on their own with no
driver and embarrassingly weak AI.

To each his own. Not every game will appeal to every person. If you go into a game expecting it to be like another game then you set your own self up for disappointment. IMO Watch_Dogs is alot of fun and has tons of misc. content to keep you occupied. I
personally dont have a friend who doesnt like the game.

The reviews I've seen for Watch Dogs have been giving it an 8.0 or 8.5. GTA V was consistently getting between a 9.0 and 10.

I guess you've learned your lesson though, watch videos before making a purchase. It will save you money, and it will save us from having to read through another one of these pointless threads.

 

Well I had no problems on PS4. The gameplay is GTA with hacking and stealth. The gun play feels very similar to GTA. The driving is slightly worse, but still functional. The graphics looked great. Actually I just thought of one glitch I encountered.
I started one of the Sony exclusive missions(your not missing anything Xbox players) and nothing happened. No indicator for where I was supposed to go or do. I quit the mission and restarted and everything worked.

As far as the PC version goes, I heard it was a terrible port. Something I also heard Ubisoft does quite often. I think I've learned two things about this launch. First don't buy Ubisoft games on PC, or at least not at launch. Second from this point
forward if games are on both current and last gen consoles, be very cautious of buying them on last gen hardware.

 

That video was HILARIOUS. The car driving on its own after being flipped was crazy lol.

 

I saw a video of a guy shooting the water with various guns and there was no water animation of the bullets hitting the water. He also threw a grenade in the water and it just kind of exploded with no water animation either, and this was the next gen version.
Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but was kind of eye opening considering that sort of animation has been done since the PS1 days.
