Watch Dogs Online Region Question

Today I ordered Watch Dogs for the Xbox One (physical disc), after my purchase i was informed that it was PEGI rated. I live in the United States and my account and Xbox One region are both United States. After doing some research I did find out that
with the Xbox One, games are region free. But am I going to be able to play Watch Dogs online when the game arrives?

Is there a way to see what time of day it is in the game.

Like in GTA all you had to do is go to your phone and you could see it was 11:30am.. but the only time of day I see in Watch Dogs is when you go to bed to set your alarm.
