Watch Dogs - First Impressions

Anyone else feel bad hacking the bank account of someone who only makes 20k a year?

 

I accidentally hacked a guy's account who was recovering from something. I felt absolutely terrible about that. That's an interesting point actually- the morals at play here are more effective than they have been for me in recent gaming memory. Hacking phone
calls has made me wish I could mark them and see if the things they talk about go anywhere in the future. I really feel a certain attachment to the people in my Chicago, which is odd to say the least.

 

^It's also interesting how I'll chase down a mugger who robbed a guy for $100, because that's criminal and wrong. And then I'll turn around and drain him of 15k.

 

How the hell did you get 15K? Also, why was someone with that kind of money mugging someone for $100? Also, also, what can we spend this money on besides Cars, Clothing, and Guns? Is their anything else?

 

Oooh, like the sound of that- What games?

 

i actually haven't hacked money from anyone yet, the yellow way points show up on the map for the story line and i'm just compelled to go do it, and then i was about to hack a ctOS tower, but then a crime thingy popped up and i went to go do that, honestly
haven't taken the time to explore the city or the other content yet.

 

@fatalshock i believe if you upgrade your hacking abilities you will be able to spot people who have more money.

 

There's actually 3 perks you need to get the most money. 2 which boost how much you get from hacking. And one that highlights people with "rich bank accounts" and other good stuff. And I meant I robbed the guy who I just saved from being robbed.

 

I was gonna say! lol $100 is nothing compared to that!

 

I haven't done much of anything yet but walk around hacking atm money, I really like open world games and this is a great location.

My only complaint as of right now is that there aren't very many music tracks I enjoy. Which can and has happened in other games, however the fact that I can't use my own music in game now finally bothers me. There is no way to do it on the XB1. On the 360
I could overlay my music to the game. The real kicker is that I now remember what I could do with GTA on the Original Xbox, which also had music installed on there. The cool thing was those tracks were incorporated INTO the game, not an overlay or Snap. Hop
in a car and the mix tape station would pull songs off my HDD, it was crazy, this was over a decade ago.

Now I'm sure very few others care about this, its understandable, but as someone who loves mixing my gaming with music, have tons of albums, this is enjoyable.

Well, that's my little rant and will probably be the worst thing I say about the game.

 

When you hack people you can unlock extra music tracks. I like that they allow you to listen to your music while on foot like you have a mp3 player this has always been a complaint of mine in GTA that you couldn't walk around with music.

But why when you call for a vehicle delivery they park it up the street just bring me the dam car...

 

Yeah, I found a few more songs while hacking. I also like that I can listen to music while on foot, I gather since the songs are on his phone.

 

I have only played enough to give myself a first impression and damn, I'm in love.

 

Just completed my second spell of Watch Dogs, and I'm happy to say my impressions are only getting more and more positive. I get an almost sick pleasure from preventing crime, and I just keep telling myself- One more crime. I'll stop one more then go to
bed. Then I'm cheating at Poker, taking down Criminal groups, leading them on merry chases through Chicago before shooting them through their windshield with police blockers... Oh yeah, this is fun. Pure fun. Open world games do nothing for me usually unless
I can play them with others, but this city is so alive. The conversations are real, I feel responsible for the people in my city, and I care about who I decide not to hack. The city feels completely alive. And I squealed with joy when I located the Demarco
gallery from the first gameplay.

 

I've got to say, even though the developers are French-Canadian... this game has to have possibly the worst soundtrack in history.

Seriously, I would have rather had Roche Voisin than some of the tripe that assaults my ears in this game.
