Wasteland 2 save points disappearing

Have recently got the gamepass ultimate so downloaded Wasteland 2.

I started off with the default characters, played a few minutes and had to quit. When i went back to the game my save game was gone. Assumed i'd quit the game before the save had completed.

My next play I put over a couple of hours into it after creating my own squad and really enjoyed it. Made around 3 manual saves as well as maintaining a current quick save. When i came to play it next only one of my save points existed and the quick save
was from before that save. I lost over an hours game play.

Having looked into this it appears to be quite a common issue, the workaround for the steam version is to delete the save table of contents file. This is not present in the windows store version as it doesn't use the default locations. I can't find any way
to fix this so the game is basically unplayable.

Please can someone provide a solution as i really want to play this game!

Maybe that Quick Save was a temporary save. They would erase once resumed.

I didn't even resume from the quick save, i started up the game and the quick save had a time stamp from over an hour previous to when i last saved. In conjunction with the other save points disappearing i think it's safe to assume that something is not
working correctly.

Bethesda's games are my favorite games to save in, which seems silly now that I've typed it. The manual saving combined with the auto save is excellent. In Fallout: NV I Had around 30 saves, but that game has factions, many, as opposed to the good/bad of
Elder Scrolls.

The on area that always requires frequent saving is the "wastelands." The dangers are numerous, and auto save points infrequent.

Have you found an answer to this problem? I tried playing wasteland 2 tonight 3 times and save games each time. When i exited to main menu the saves were gone and I only had the option for a new game.

The original is what started the Post-apocalyptic games and the same guys made the original fallouts.

[/quote]Well, sort of. It didn't start the post-apocalyptic gaming genre, but it did inspire
Fallout. And it's more the original Wasteland developers (well, Brian Fargo anyway) with a few original
Fallout developers mixed in (mainly Chris Avellone) than the original
Fallout development team, Anyway, I have played the original Wasteland
in a while (I've been meaning to replay it though), but I definitely liked it and will be getting the new one. And it does have a pretty big cult following, although a lot of the original
Fallout fans support it too, so that's why they managed to get so many donations

Also, for you and others who have never played the original but want to, you can find it for free with a quick Google search (and legally, as I'm pretty sure it's freeware). You just need to set up Dosbox
