Worst case scenario for Xbox One purchased on launch day

At least your console worked. Many defective units were discovered Day One..... That's the price of early adoption. GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm sure he meant to say, "...bought a big box of Wheaties...". Sometimes spellchecker gets things wrong. Lol.

I have no regrets as all mine still works. Controller stopped vibrating but that was as simple as batteries need more life in them. At first I still played on the 360 more but the balance has tipped now. That was mainly due to wanting to complete games that
had sequels announced on the Xone.

Since november 22nd,i got games that i still enjoy to play, wasn't disapointed with the dashboard and how to use Xbox one ( i saw several Xbox one presentation before launch),was surprise by Kinect fonctonality with the console and in game too....No missing
features for me,because i didn't expect to have a clone of Xbox 360,didn't use some Xbox 360 features anyway and already knew what features won't be available at launch.....

    No regrets at all.....

    A new system,new experiences.....

  7. Thankfully up to now I've been able to discipline myself about my game time, but Titanfall will probably put an end to that.

It's definitely been worth it. I've enjoyed all the games I've played on it, and the overall specs and qualities of them, over what the 360's games are capable of. That's what I bought it for. ...and looking forward to going up from here.

If I wasn't an early adopter, I'd miss out on being excited for these new updates.

I haven't regretted waiting, although I play Xbox One 2-3 times a week anyway.

I'm still waiting (1st in this thread I believe)... And I've not regretted it. Sure, things are getting better with game patches (see BF4), and X1 updates are coming. But as most of you would have seen me on here, you would realize I've had my ear to the
ground... And for me, it's not at it's optimal point for me personally. Once party chat is fixed, and the headset adapters released, then I'll consider it... Those two things are important enough to me to wait for (notice I said "for me").

    .

Plus there's the possibility of bigger HDD's on the horizon (rumors I know), and themed consoles... So there's that.

    .

Plus plus, there's my pile of shame... (hangs head)

    .

I know a lot of you have no regrets, and are enjoying it just fine right now, and, in no way does my decision impact on your decision to be an early adopter... It's just different strokes.

    .

I'm often on here seeing people complain... And not that it's my reason for holding off... But it is just one reason taking some time to evaluate what you're going to spend your money on can be a good thing.

    .

I say to all you early adopters, cheers, and enjoy! I'll see you ONE day Was Your Early Adoption of the Xbox One Worth It? ;)

I like mine that being said Kinect is really a worthless gimmick, I only used it for an hour before d/cing it.

A Kinectless version at launch would have helped, also frame-rate and OS issues are annoying.

  14. I don't regret it. For years trying to raise a family we never had money to buy a new system. I was always playing the "older gen" for 2-3 years & had no choice but to wait for a price drop. Now older , wiser, & a little better off I saved my money for 6
months to get it. That alone makes me proud to own it. Now I get to be apart of the beginning and it's gonna be awesome. I get to play Titanfall on the X1 on the day it comes out. Also the other thing that was a nice surprise was that since there are only
a few games out I have been able to try games that I might not normally play. Surprise surprise I rather enjoy them and I'm looking forward to other ones. I even joined game fly to try new games like Tomb Raider and Thief.
