Was tricked into opting into the Simply Rewarding offer. Want to opt out.

Today I received an e-mail that informed me of 2 new offers, so I clicked on the e-mail to be taken to the page and learn what the offers were about. Come to find out that clicking on the Simply Rewarding part of the e-mail opted me into the offer.

I presume, and would appreciate a clarification, that by opting into the simply rewarding offer I no longer will earn progress towards My VIP. This is a problem since I may not spend the $64 required to clear the offer, and on top of that, I have a 10% reward
for My VIP which means even if I do complete this offer I would still lose out on 400 credits.

I appreciate there being the option to opt into a reward that might give less back, however, I do not like the way the e-mail was set up to trick people into opting in. For clarification, the e-mail said "Talk about easy! Get your fill of the titles you
love this month, and we’ll give you 6,000 Rewards Credits. " It did not mention the requirement to obtain the 6,000 credits and also did not mention that by clicking on the e-mail I would be opting in.

As is, if I will not receive My VIP bonuses for March, I am much less likely to spend any money in the Xbox store for the rest of this month as I am on a tight income already and the 10% back helps a lot when looking to make game purchases.

    :)

Was tricked into opting in to the Simply Rewarding offer and cannot find a way to opt out.

    Hello Ace Phoenyx,

Purchases that go towards offers will award progress (as long as they are MyVIP eligible), but will not award payback. We're sorry to hear about your frustrations with this offer. We'll take your sentiment and feedback and provide it to the appropriate team.
We did attempt to make the opt-in as clear as possible by labeling the button at the bottom of the email as "ACTIVATE THIS OFFER >". Unfortunately, the way this offer works, once you opt-in to the offer, you cannot opt out.

I don't think there is an option to opt out, but you'll want to post in the support section of this forum to see if support can opt you out.

    Rewards points

    Hello The Reaper 451,

Unfortunately, only purchases made after opting in to the offer are eligible for Simply Rewarding. Since you made your purchase before opting in, it would not be eligible for this offer.

    Rewards for purchases

    Hello Kaladan UK,

Unfortunately, this offer (Simply Rewarding) is unique in that it requires you to opt in before you can begin progressing the offer. If you made your purchase before opting in, it would not be eligible for the offer.

    Current 6000 credit MyMission

    Hello CrimsonReLLiK,

In order to start progressing the Simply Rewarding offer, you must first opt in, as stated in the FAQ for the offer. Since your purchase was made on the 2nd, and you opted into the offer on the 4th, that purchase was not eligible. However, I can confirm
that this is a literal $60 before tax, as stated in the FAQ.

This offer is unique in that it requires an opt-in before progressing the offer. Most other offers do not, and for example, you have been awarded a Games on Demand punch for your purchase already.

Also, this offer will allow double dipping, so if you purchase another Games on Demand eligible title, since you have now opted in to the offer, it will both award progress for Simply Rewarding as well as a Games on Demand punch.
