Was charged for changing gamertag, but it hasn't changed?

If your GT hasn't changed that long after purchase you will need to contact phone/chat support at support.xbox.com/contact-us

So you're saying that I paid for a gamertag change from Microsoft that once the 360 servers shut down will be removed...? Wow Microsoft. That's cold. I think the Gamertag policy should be voided because clearly 12 characters isn't enough for a username if I can't use my desired one.

Where did you change your gamertag? On your console? Would you please make sure it is not changed by going to https://social.xbox.com/ and see what shows there as your current gamertag?

Hi Mateus, thank you for your answer. I waited almost a week, longer than you asked and there is no change in the gamertag.

I tried your solution, beside being a hassle, it was useless. It clearly isn't related to my devices, your solution was jaw-dropping but I believed in Microsoft coding a system that badly. If Microsoft did update my gamertag, it would have shown on the xbox.com right where my old gamertag currently is, its supposed to be that simple. So I tried to change it again, just to see what it would shown me, because "I was not supposed to be able to change it after a rename" and I wasn't going to check-out and pay again, funny to learn out of the blue that you get a freebie when going to the new system and I just wasted it.

I'm baffled..
