    A few weeks ago, the power supply of my Kids almost new xbox one stopped working.

    After contacting the Support, they offered me to send a new - used refurnished but checked console.

    They said they will Charge 300.- € to my credit Card, until my original console will be returned. I told them - only the power supply ist defective, but the answer was, that they send the whole unit (console and xbox). I accepted, since I don´t know if
    the console itself is defective or the PS.

    Well, it took almost 2 weeks until the parcel arrived - WITHOUT the power supply.

    I contacted the Support again, and they said, they would send the power supply ... again 2 WEEKS ago.

    The Chat Support send me a UPS number yesterday, for tracking. Funny, because even today, if you track it, the message ist, a Label was printed but NO shipping was initiated.

    Instead of 300.- €, Microsoft charged 360 .- € !!!!

    1 Month for a simple warranty Change is absolutley inacceptable. I have 3 Xboxes for my Kids, a 360 which I repalced last year, because it was defective, and all the expensive games are not working on xbox one.

    I ordered a new power supply through Amazon today, because I´m sure, Microsoft will not be able to handle that before new year and my Kids suffer ...

    I was my last xbox!

    The support can add points on an account ?

    Can you tell me if the support can refund me or add me MSP because I loose points with the conversion and its inacceptable...

    The support agrees with me but it tells me that the support cant add points on my account ...

    But the support already did that for me !!!

    And what the schedule (hours) for support chat ? It's closed now ! warranty support inacceptable :(

    You should have just returned the "almost new" Xbox and accessories to the place it was purchased from and exchanged for a new one.

    You can still buy original Xbox Ones brand new at some stores.

    As for the support problem, I would call them up and ask for the issue to be escalated, as the level of support your received is not acceptable at all IMO.

    Out of curiosity I looked at Microsoft Store - and you cannot even buy PSU as spare part it seems.

    This is unbelievable.

    Xbox One - One choice for repair only - send for second hand replacements.

    And from looking up other options to replace opticals drives - same story.

    My post was even removed by MS.

    This is a scary place....

    Your post was removed because self repair is against the ToU/CoC & will get your console banned.

    That's why Microsoft don't sell optical drives & self repair is not allowed to be discussed on the forums.

    You can buy a external power brick for the old xbox ones from Microsoft but it is a pain to do so.

    Op needs to be careful about buying a power brick from places like Amazon,ebay etc. If it's not an official power brick it could fry your console & void any warranty you have.

    I looked though at how you just void warranty - which according to this thread is worth nothing anyway - it's more like abuse of someone putting trust in MS.

    Said nothing about ban the console.

    "The use of any accessory other than the standard Xbox One PSU may damage your console and void your console warranty."

    Does not even suggest "sure thing" you are voided.

    You can buy Microsoft psu on amazon anyway, so maybe that would be good advice to start with from MS.

    Or exchange quickly with a friend if console runs fine - good starting point for troubleshooting - and like OP tried, just send in psu.

    Even knowing that console itself could be reason that psu shut down should be up to consumer how they want to proceed.

    Wouldn't be first time in history consumer are facing how repair shops exchange wrong components and it last just a little while.

    On cars it's even really common how a repair may start with exchanging all kinds of components and you have to pay for the lot.

    Normal pc build stuff like shifting standard components - should be allowed - hdd, optical drive, psu - it's modules, kind of - not rocket science to shift.

    Applied to any other product on market - repairing on not approved shop - void warranties - but ban product from being used????

    How does consumer rights apply to xbox conditions?

    Anyway - these new discoveries - put a serious dent in my future trust for xbox investments - as MS in general.

    In my early programming years - MS really encouraged all development for PC - and moved more and more to control and tell devs/consumers what they need to do or buy.

    In not far future all every household needs is supplied from a pad/phone of some sort and MS is loosing out as future evolve.
