Warranty Service Worries (No Update, Device removed from my account)

I had an issue with my Elite 2 Controller. The thumbstick would not return to center consistently. I tried to wait for the Microsoft Stores to open back up because I was sold on the warranty for the ability to come in and swap controllers if there was an
issue. But with no news on the subject I decided to start a service order. I spent the $10 to expedite the process and another $14 to have UPS pack the controller safely for shipment.

I tracked the package and it said that it had been delivered at midnight on Wednesday night. I have been monitoring the activity on the warranty site for any update from Microsoft that it was recieved. I had not seen any status update until this morning
when my Device mysteriously disappeared from my Device center. Thankfully I still had the serial number of my device and was able to get it added back to my account, but I still don't see that the controller has been recieved.

I'm hoping that someone at Microsoft will read this and respond as I have no other avenue to contact anyone about this issue.

You can always try with chat support yet there is a 3 week waiting period on repairs

That is frustrating for sure, You may have to do what was suggested and update via usb flash drive, You could also try to remove the home Xbox being associated to your account from the device list in account settings, Then factory reset the Xbox again and
see if it lets you set it as a new one, The option to send it in for servicing may also work, Since it's an older model the warranty wouldn't cover things so you may have to pay out of pocket

How to pack and ship your device

The email confirmation for your service order request contains packing and shipping instructions. For illustrated packing instructions, see How
to pack your Xbox console or Kinect sensor for shipping.

Remove all accessories from the Xbox console or Kinect sensor, and remove any discs from the Xbox hard drive. If you send them, you probably won’t get them back.

After your device has been packed, print your shipping label. Tape it to your package and then follow the shipping instructions in the confirmation email.
