    Hello,

    I bought a Xbox One Controller on Amazon on October 13th 2016 and I would like to know if there is any type of warranty on it, since the LB button broke by itself. The controller is not linked to any Xbox One because I bought it for my Windows 10 PC.

    Controller Warranty?

    My controller drifts forward and I was planning on sending it in but someone on reddit pointed out to me that my controller was out of warranty. I bought my Xbox One in January. Is it out of warranty?

    I have purchased Xbox one s console and an additional controller separately. Both my additional controller and the controller which came with xbox are not functioning. I am looking for replacement warranty for both. I can replace one controller through my
    xbox warranty. but how should i go ahead with replacement of the controller which bought separately?

    Controllers usually have a 90 day warranty.

    Thanks for your help, I find it sad that Microsoft don't even trust enough their controllers to put a longer warranty on it. I mean I paid mine 50€, it's not supposed to be broken 6 months after.

    By the way I live in Europe, don't you think European laws force Microsoft to replace it during 2 years ?

    You'd have to try contacting support about that. I don't live in Europe so I'm not familiar with the laws there and if Microsoft is set up to work with those.

    Standard warranty for Xbox accessories is 90 days, or 3 months. Unfortunately, it seems like you are outside of warranty. you can however, check your controllers serial number here : Controller
    Warranty

    If you are out of warranty, we can only recommend replacing the controller.
