WARRANTY on controllers????

I got a left stick drift problem and I want to know what the warranty period is on Xbox One controllers. I've heard one year if it comes with the console and 90 days if purchased separately. Is this correct or is it 90 days either way? Mine came with the
console that I purchased in July 2014. It has gotten so bad that I had to give up playing for now, and do not own an extra controller.

Warranty on Accessories

The only accessory I've seen an extended warranty for is Kinect.

Ideally, you should buy a 250GB or 320GB console. Then it's covered under the console warranty and any extended warranty added to the console.

I've purchased six accessory HDDs over the years (three 120GB, two 250GB, one 320GB). So far, they're all still ticking. Best thing I can suggest is use the HDD for the first month or so at least every few days. That'll help get you past the initial failure
rate.

Warranty on Accessories

None that I know of. Best option I can think of would be to go third-party and purchase a contract from someone like SquareTrade. Never actually used them before, but perhaps someone here can vouch for them (or against them, take your pick.)

Hello,

What you need to do is register your console at
http://myservice.xbox.com

Once registered you can go ahead and select replace an accessory, in which you will find an option for a controller.

You then send your controller off and they dispatch a new one (possibly refurbished) as soon as they receive the broken one.

Is controller warranty 1 year or 90 days if it came with the console????? I tried replace an accessory and it says no records found and your item is not covered under warranty! This is really annoying with all the people having a problem with the left stick
on their controllers and nothing being done about it, and 59.99 is too high to be paying for something that breaks in a couple months. My 360 controllers never had this problem, EVER! Guess I'm gonna have to give my money to a different company, it least when
theirs break it doesn't cost me as much!!!

Usually a new controller comes with 1 year warranty and a refurbished one if purchased from an authorized dealer, comes with 90 days warranty. Hope it helps

Standard warranty for Xbox accessories is 90 days, or 3 months. Unfortunately, it seems like you are outside of warranty. you can however, check your controllers serial number here : Controller

If you are out of warranty, we can only recommend replacing the controller.
