    Hi can somebody explain to me why the warranty period on a xbox360s seems to vary anywhere between 12-36 months depending on which country you live? Surely all the components in the console are the same regardless of where i live or do microsoft like to
    reward some of their customers if they live in a country they prefer? Is there an actual valid reason for this or is it just microsoft playing god? any constructive answers welcome.Thanks

    The typical warranty period of accessories is 90 days although some locales may have different laws requiring different warranty lengths.

    Why You Should Purchase Your 360 @ Costco

    I think that their 5 year warranty is crazy because people lose interest in console's before that time is up, a new console always comes along, and it would be too tempting to sabotage a system just to take it back. I'm not suggesting anyone do this, it's theft, but the length of that unconditional warranty screams abuse me!
