Warranty help with Elite 2 Halo infinite edition

Hello,

I'm having issues with the right thumbstick. It no longer clicks and works like a button. It also gets stuck when using it causing the input to continue instead of returning to neutral position. I saw that I can have it serviced, and I understand I may get refurbish controller back, but am I guaranteed to get a halo infinite controller back? The halo controller is not only hard to come by, it's significantly more expensive that a regular elite 2 (especially when on sale). If there's a chance I don't get a halo controller back I'm not sure I'm willing to send it.

Can we get ahold someone who can answer this for certain? I am also having an issue with my right thumbstick and this is a very expensive, and DIFFERENT product from a normal Elite Series 2 controller. If Microsoft/Xbox can't warranty the specific sku, then why is there even a warranty in the box at all? If they were to send a regular Elite Series 2 back after a Halo Infinite version is sent in, then they would be performing a scam--not a warranty service.

Unfortunately there's no way to know for sure. Microsoft first try to repair a device sent in and in a case where the issue can't be repaired or they determine that a repair isn't the best option, a replacement is issued. If the later is the case, chances are you'll get a regular controller as a replacement.

For me, the new Elite series 2 controller, project scarlett, and of course Halo: Infinite, and Cyberpunk was pretty cool too

I don't expect a dramatic difference. I am hoping that Halo Infinite is bundled with the new Xbox and maybe the new elite 2 controllers.
