WARNING - XBox One Controller

Chatted with techs several times over my controller shutting itself off for 5-15 seconds and then turning itself back on. First time was within the "warranty window". Each time, they suggested different strategies to stop it from doing that, including updating
the software, cleaning the cache, etc. Still turning itself off. But it's no longer under warranty. Even though I reported the issue (and they have it documented) since I didn't request a replacement while under warranty, they will do nothing. I have to buy
a new controller. It's not about the money, it's the principle - I got a crappy controller and now have to replace it out of my own funds. But for anyone out there who has a similar problem, you should do a warranty replacement rather than believe the support
technicians that the problem is fixed. It probably isn't.

Controller warning

The other day I took my niece out to pick up a controller she liked. It's her controller for when I watch her and buy minecraft next week. She picked out a Spectra illuminated one it was $50. When she opened it no chat adapter at all. I wanted to alert
fellow gamers not to purchase it as a main controller. If I wrote this and its confusing, im sorry my full dose of lithium is not in and on ly takin 2400 not 9000 a day. Thanks

Mine of my controllers also has this "shut off for no reason" thing going on. No troubleshooting steps work

It's likely the console. Microsoft pulled the same crap with me. So much hate that they support their own fans and fix their faulty hardware.

I'd warn you that used shops are paying very little for Xbox One, might not be worth it to get rid of it, especially since the controller is 100% compatible.

Well, the Xbox 360 use to show battery status when you pressed the guide button, so the most logical place to implement it, would be within the Game Bar, that's used now when you press the Guide button on the XBox One Controller.

Any indicator would at least warn you, currently if your battery is low the controller just Shuts off, no warning.

It blows my mind that wireless controller for windows is such an after thought, they would overlook something like Battery Status.

3rd party controllers can often be many times better than 1st party.

A good example of this is the Logitech wireless controllers 4 the original xbox. Which then led into the wireless 1st party controller now used on the xbox 360.
