@Sigma.....show me where I said it was okay. Unless the pricing changes it's gonna be a flop from the get go.

 

@mgzin66 - Your argument was that it matters if "people like me" think that it's Sony setting the prices, rather than the individual publishers. It doesn't. What matters is how much something costs and what you get in return.

Like I said though, Sony are charging the same prices for their own games, so I don't buy that "they don't set the prices" argument as it wouldn't apply to their own content. They could charge whatever price they liked for that.

This is turning into a circular discussion, so unless you have any different points to make about it, there's nothing more to say really.

 

@Sigma....ok, let me add Sony has stated the prices aren't firm yet. That's what one purpose of the beta was for. Obviously they should have their answer.

 

The key to all of this is...... it's an option...... even if I hate it, I still appreciate having a choice to participate or not.

The worst is a company that makes the decision for us and we never get the choice to choose....... even worse a company deciding for us having less than stellar motives for doing so.

 

I have my reservations about this program (which has more to do with how it could potentially change the industry to be more like the cable services you see with television - which is NOT a good thing), but despite them, I'm still willing to pay the $30
for the year to test the waters and get what are no doubt good deals in the meantime.

 

I would rather be helping build and evolve my console with the community rather than tripping on frame rates. If I wanted frame rates I certainly would not got to Playstation...

PC is where it's at if you want more expansive games and graphics. Not Ps

 

For a company that constantly releases incomplete broken titles, I guess they need the baby steps of us being the testers, At a cost none the less. Why would a Japanese company be interested in EA? In their mind it isn't value for money, this is simple and
not a dig at anyone anywhere.

 

I do not know if I am gonna pay for this or not (surprisingly, I don't play a lot of EA games, now that EA NCAA Football is dead). But I am absolutely glad for the option to be there. I see a ton of value in this for people who are big fans of EA games,
even just for the discounts.

 

for sports games alone i see this as decent value. I usually buy Fifa, NHL and UFC everytime they release (normally yearly) so this is fantastic value. On top of that I've bought every battlefield ever released.

I'll give it a year and see how the program works. I don't like madden as American football sucks (personal opinion) and i already own the other 3 games in the vault so I'll wait and see

 

Good to have the choice but i wont be subscribing the only EA games i'll be getting is Fifa and possibly Sims and thats a real possibly because some people tell me its looking a bit poor and i havent been arsed to look it up yet
