    Warning to Australian gamers


    I just wanted to give a quick warning to everyone to NOT preorder anything online with the Microsoft store. I pre-ordered the call of duty advanced warfare limited edition Xbox one console bundle that comes with the day zero edition of the game. I was guaranteed
    it would be delivered on the 3rd of November, then find out on the 2nd that I will not be getting it until the 5th. The day zero content is now useless to me. I have been a loyal customer with Microsoft for years, and given them tens of thousands of dollars,
    yet when I called Microsoft store support, I was hung up on multiple times, told I can't have a refund, given false names and false information, and refused any sort of download code so I could at least get a portion of my order that I have paid for. I now
    have to miss out and the so called guarantee obviously is nothing but false and misleading advertising.

    TLDR: Do not preorder from Microsoft store they will not deliver on release and they will try to rip you off.

    It has become apparent this console was not made for Australia.You may have noticed with each update our xbox live is getting worse and worse.We now have Cortina(which we can't use)and now ESO is unplayable. You also may notice you're complaints are ignored.
    It is obvious this product was made only for americans,but sold every they were allowed.There is no use complaining because they simply don't care.Do you think they didn't know their product wouldn't work properly in Australia.Of coarse they did.But we only
    have ourselves to blame.First by believing their BS.Second by buying their crap.Think about it.Has america EVER made anything well?Not to my knowledge.So,more the fool us.As a country we don't use their phones.Time to let the Xbox go.Lets stop buying things
    that don't work from countries that don't work.

    I pre ordered the day zero edition and have had to download it 3 times over. The first time wouldnt work and automatically re installed it, then the second time it got stuck on 100%.. third time lucky? now theres literally no point of getting the day zero
    edition... such a waste of time and money.. never buying any games from the marketplace again.. disk only from now.. sorry MS you *** up big time.....

    Always risky ordering Consoles via the store. Just to add I've preordered/preloaded 3 Digital games so far without a hitch. If I was after a console bundle I would go and pick that up from EB or JB myself.

    Yeah mate in my experience they are usually ok, and if it was just the console I wouldn't mind it being late. I would be disappointed but I wouldn't come here to post about it.

    It is purely the fact that I paid for the day zero edition of the game, and now it is the 5th of November and I still don't have it. Day zero has finished, therefore I did not and can not be given what I paid for.

    I have tried explaining this to Microsoft store customer support, but they have trouble grasping what the issue is because they are far too ignorant to even know the products and services they are supposed to be providing

    support for.

    I feel your pain. I went through similar conversations with Xbox Australia Support when I had a dodgy Day One Controller that EB could not replace unless it was a standard controller. I contacted NSW Fair trading and let them sort it for me. I ended up with
    a new Day one and kept the slightly Squeaky one. The issue was they wanted me to pay for it to be sent to them and I refused as I was told twice over 3 weeks that I would be sent an email with a shipping slip all cost covered to put on the box.

    I suggest you do similar. We have pretty good consumer laws.

    Yeah I'd never pre order hardware through xbox, you just know there is going to be a problem and if you were promised it would be delivered by a certain date so you could use content only available on that day you should be entitled to a partial refund atleast.
