Wants me to re purchase digital games I had already owned

I had previously owned GTA V digitally on my Xbox one. Today I bought the one x and i went to download GTA V again but its saying I don’t own it.

Xbox Live Games On Demand Question

I want to get a game that is on the Games on Demand, but I already owned the game before a while back before selling it.

So I was wondering if they would give me the option to download for free since I already owned it, or if I have to purchase it on there to play it again.

 

Who's going ps4?

What that video showed me was features that are already out there and available either on current gen, tablets or phones. There was noting in that video that made me personally want to go and purchase a ps4 let alone a digital game for a ps4.

The Kinect videos however do make me want to purchase an Xbox one and also purchase my games digitally.

Your best bet would be first to make sure you are logged in as the account that bought the game. If you are sure that is correct head over to Contact Us | Xbox Support

They might ask for your proof of purcahse which you can find here. Sign in to your Microsoft account

Sometimes when gamesharing is easy to think that you own a game

You own the game under your account only you have purchased it

 

Make sure that you are downloading the correct version of GTA V. There are many bundles that count as different versions.

 

Check your purchase history on account.microsoft.com to be sure you own it. Try redownload your profile on Xbox X. Remove profile, restart console, sign in back, check your Ready to install section.

 

Sig in into account You bought the game, If It does not work contact Xbox Support 'cause there is a problem with your account
