Want to separate one xbox 360 account from my microsoft account and add another

Hi there, not sure about this being the perfect place for this, but ima try.

I made an xbox live profile 2 years ago while abroad. I made the mistake of linking my hotmail address to it. When i joined xbox live this year with my Xbox 360 profile, it said i cannot use the same email address.

My question is this: How can i reuse the hotmail address with my 360 profile? This being my main account, i want it to show up on my phone, but there is no option of changing the email from any of the topics i've tried on my profile page. Is deleting the hotmail
account the only option, or is there another way for me to get this done?

Has anyone else got $6.00 free from microsoft on 360?

I was going to purchase a few games from xbox live on my 360 and I went to add a credit card and saw that for some reason that microsoft put $6.00 into my microsoft account and thought that was just from the rewards program. But I happen to check another account on my xbox 360 that i didn't even use the rewards program with and have just purchase one game with that account and it also has $6.00 in that account also is Microsoft given out $6.00 to us or what is the deal?

You can add Microsoft Points pre-paid codes by using the Xbox 360 console or by using Xbox.com.

Xbox 360 console

To enter a pre-paid Microsoft Points code by using the Xbox 360 Guide main menu, follow these steps:
Press the Xbox 360 Guide button, and then go to the Marketplace area.
Select Redeem Code.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.
To enter a Microsoft Points code by using the Add Points Wizard, follow these steps:
To access the Add Points Wizard, press the X button while you view any content description screen within the Game Marketplace or Video Marketplace areas or while you view the Memberships section in the Account Management area.
Select Redeem Prepaid Card.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.

Visit Sign In (Sign In) or follow these steps:
From Xbox.com, use your Windows Live ID to sign in to your Xbox LIVE account.
Select My Account from the My Xbox drop-down menu.

To move your e-mail address over to your new account you'll need to make a third Microsoft account that you'll essentially use as a dummy account. We have a solid step-by-step troubleshooter for creating that third account and switching the Microsoft accounts

Another quick question.....If I have an additional "adult account" on my Xbox (not a child's account) , one for my wife and older son, do I have to pay for a separate Live account? or does the one Xbox Live account allow me to add everyone in my family and
for them all to have the separate ability to play Xbox Live with no extra charge? and have separate achievements ...etc.

So would there be a way to make my newer email the main email alias for my Xbox Microsoft account?

Because it sounds like if I removed the Newer one from my separate account and add it to the other Xbox account, it won't work?

Hello S, when it says that your Xbox account is separate from your email, would that be an account that had only on Xbox 360?

I ask you this because currently your Xbox profile and your Microsoft account (email) are only one thing, so you can use your Xbox account you always need to know about your email.

When transferring data and profile from one account to another is not possible, what you can do is create a new Alias for your Xbox/Microsoft account that you already have.

Add or remove an email alias in Outlook.com
