Want to remove payment option but can't

So I lost my credit card, canceled it and got a new one but since I canceled it I can't pay with that credit card, so i added a new one and want to pay the amount due with the new one... And it won't let me remove it even though I want to pay with the new
one! How do I go about changing payments from my old CC to my new CC? It might be a separate issue entirely but I can't log in to xbox live now, even though my brother was on all day today. Maybe the lack of payment finally is in action and won't let us log
on until it is paid.

Any ideas? Can't contact anybody on phone About it.

How do i cancel my gold membership?

Hey mate, you can't remove a payment option if it's attached to an active membership. I would turn off auto renewal and wait for your gold to run out, then if you don't want a payment option at all you will have to call phone support so they can help you
take it off:

Remove payPAL payment

How can I remove payPAL payment option from my profile XL? When I remove this option I reveice error:"This payment option cannot be removed at this time. Go to the

Payment method information page to view services associated with this payment option." But where in this link I can remove payPAL payment? I don't want to add another payment option.

this should take you to the support page and you can contact them and have them remove it.

The easiest thing to do would be to purchase prepaid gold cards. That way you don't have to add a credit card at all. Anytime you purchase gold directly from Xbox it will turn on automatica renewals. So you could still purchase through Xbox if you want,
you just have to turn off auto-renewals.

For billing you will have to call support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada. If not, click the support link and follow the contact us link to get to the phone information for your region.

Payment options cannot be removed while they are attached to an active gold account. The $9.99 sounds like a monthly auto-renewal, but it should not be showing every week. You can also check
https://billing.microsoft.com to see what the charges are for.
