Want to buy my buddy overwatch

So me and my buddy have been extremely enjoying the open beta for overwatch and sadly my friend cant get overwatch when it releases. So i want to buy a copy for him, the issue is that he lives in canada and i live in the US. Would i be able to buy a digital
copy of overwatch and send him the code or buy it on his account with no region type issues?

Game sharing not working

Hello, I am having a problem with game sharing. I want to share overwatch with my roommate, so i logged into his account and set my xbox as his home xbox. Then I logged into his xbox with my account and set it as my home xbox. Now only battlefield and rocket
league are showing up in his ready to install list. Not overwatch and not any other games ive downloaded. WHY CANT I SHARE OVERWATCH? I downloaded it for sure and did not buy the disk. Please help.

 

If you buy yours digitally you could always game share.

 

Problem with that is im getting a physical copy for me

 

why not buy digital, save yourself some dusting and share the game with the other person, will save you money if your considering buying 2 copies.

And buying digital for him and not for you is insane IMO.

 

If you have a XBOX 360. There a way gift money too him. But I do not know it will convert to his nation money thought.

I have found it really does not save much. And generally costs a little more money compared to physical given all the deals on pre-orders around. But if you game share it is cheaper typically. As EnenDaveyBoy said "And buying digital for him and not for
you is insane IMO" might be a very valid statement. Even with most discounts a physical copy will cost at least $40 and then the digital is $60 on top of that. With digital and game sharing you would spend $59.99 + tax and both would have a copy. If you
want physical for yourself, like maybe you collect games, well just pick up a new physical copy for cheap later down the road.

 

Why not use a retailer like amazon for example, buy the xbox store credit from there for his region and then simply message him the redeem code for the xbox credit so he can then buy it, sorted

 

Just buy it digitally from any retailer that offers a code. I gift codes all the time. I've never had anyone I've given a code to have an issue.

 

Just buy an xbox giftcard at gamestop etc, scratch off the film, and PM him/her the 25 code. Your friend then activates the code wich puts said amount into their account.

They then use that amount to purchase the game digitally from xbox store.

Or, better still. Simply buy the disc version and mail it to him/her.
