I want to buy an X box. According to my budget x box 360 looks good. However I heard this model is getting discontinued by Microsoft. I want to know your opinion if this is true and if there are new models getting launched.

They've already stopped making the 360. They are still available to buy until they're all sold off though.

The 360 is a good console although production of the E model has recently ceased.

There is still a very active XBL community and a lot of the popular titles also have a good following of players on-line.

And a huge back catalogue of games which can be picked up extremely cheaply make for cheap gaming.

Local walmart has xbox one with Forza 2 for $170ish, a 360 E would run about that, so if you're in the states. You might want to check it out.

If you shop around, used 500gb 360's can be had for under $100.00

I would if you still want to: buy a new x-box like there 299 one and see if that works for a long itme if not then it is up to you.
