Want A Better Gaming Experience?

There are three new ports that need to be opened up for Xbox One. They are 500, 3544, 4500, all UDP. If you don't already have the ports Xbox 360 needed open then you also need to open them. They are 53 UDP and TCP, 80 TCP, 88 UDP, 3074 UDP and TCP. To have
the best gaming experience they should all be opened up.

Only needed if upnp is deactivated on the router I think...

 

It's only needed if your having trouble connecting to the internet. Using a static i.p. and opening the ports is a quick solution. I don't have the ports open on my router at all and I'm using a dynamic i.p. and have upnp enabled and my NAT open. I don't
have any problems at all connecting the internet especially when I'm getting over 100mbps.

 

If you have upnp enabled, the Xbox automatically opens the needed ports for you

I would not recommend opening all ports on your router as this can leave your home network open to malicious attacks. As previously stated above most routers have UPNP functionality and if enable the Xbox One should have no issues connecting. If the router
does not UPNP enabled or your Xbox is having issues with NAT being strict, then opening the ports mentioned in the first post should be tried.

 

I meant all the specified ports, not every port. Never use DMZ mode.
