WAN Static IP, all my NAT issues disappeared, but is this safe?

So I connected the Xbox to the WAN and assigned it a static IP from my pool. It's working just fine, but I'm concerned that there's no firewall or other restriction on who can pound on the box externally.

Should I be concerned, or is the network interface of the XBox One secure from attack?

I can put in a router and forward a whole pile of ports if there's any point, but it's working now...

cant connect to teredo ip addres

I did set forward any UDP traffic to my local IP for xbox, and I got status for NAT open. XBOX has static IP, is in DMZ zone and IP V6 is enabled. But I never seen NAT open before, it was static and moderate (with static being more frequent than moderate),
anyway lets see how long open nat will hold. Thank you for all your suggestions.

Can you access the web-uitlity interface of your Huawei gateway and see if you can find the WAN/Internet IP address, which is the address assigned by your ISP.

Take a note of the WAN/Internet IP address and go to
http://checkip.dyndns.com/

Now, can you tell us if the 'Current Address' match the WAN/Internet IP address that you see on your Huawei. A simple Yes, or No will do.

The Xbox has its own firewall. It ignores any traffic not sent by Xbox Live. Many of the steps for NAT troubleshooting is to lower or remove the Xbox from the firewall protection. I would not recommend it for other devices.

Your changing the wrong thing then, the static ip address change is on the Xbox, not on the router, don't change the WAN setting to static that won't work

So, change the xbox to the static ip address above

Setup the portforwarding and forward to the ip address above

Don't change any dynamic/static address at all on the router

So if using a static IP is causing a NAT issue... don't use a static IP?

IP address is statically or dynamically assigned. What matters to NAT, is if the IP address, assigned by your ISP, is publicly routable on the Internet, or not.

Your Netgear's WAN information would reveal such information.

Your "modem" appears to be a gateway (modem+router), which if so creates a problematic double NAT situation. To verify double NAT is the issue, please log in to the web interface of your Netgear router and note the WAN/Internet IP it reports (WAN IP, not
the LAN IP!). If that IP differs from the one reported by
http://www.tracemyip.org, then your Xbox is behind multiple layers of NAT (double NAT) and getting open NAT will require special steps.
