    Entering PPPoE

    Login Information

    • Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin



    Entering PPPoE

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the gateway address “192.168.1.1” into the web address bar.
    4. When prompted for a username and password type in “admin” for both the username and the password.
    5. On the left hand side of the web page select the “Advanced Settings” option.
    6. Click on “WAN” subcategory.
    7. On the main screen, under the “WAN IP Settings” section, click on the “WAN Connection Type” drop down box and click on “PPPoE”.
    8. For “WAN IP Setting” and “WAN DNS Setting” sections, these may be left to “Automatic” unless your ISP specified otherwise.
    9. Under the next section in the “Account and Detailed Connection Setting”. Enter in the “User Name” and the “Password” provided to you from your ISP.
    10. If any additional ISP specific settings are required, choose the related options and make the changes as needed.
    11. Click the “Apply” button.

    Cannot connect to xbox live while on MW3

    is your NAT open? if not type your router address in on your web browser it should be
    http://192.168.1.1

    default login and password is usually login:admin password:password or password 1 or (left blank)

    go to Wan setup page/tab and set NAT to open and then click logout maybe different on different routers mines netgear so it has a Wan setup tab but hope this helps

    Network error

    The usual MTU size for dsl connections is usually 1500 or 1492 for PPPoE (cable) connections. You can usually set the MTU on your router's WAN settings page, which is where you set your connection username and password.

    Which model of router do you have? I may be able to find you a "how to" guide.

    Nat is open, but cant connect to a lot of people

    okay not sure of your modem but first check your privacy settings on xbox becuase defualt is set at 2 which means only 2 people can join your party or u can only join a party of one

    but if it is your modem u need to login to ur modems admin account look for the lease which i think it says dhcp or someting like that lease. then go to the port forwarding tab on the advance settings tab add 5 lines i will give u all the details now:

    Line 1

    TCP

    Wan port begin enter 1

    Wan port end enter 160

    Line 2

    TCP

    Wan port begin enter 162

    Wan port end enter 65535

    Line 3

    UDP

    Wan port begin enter 1

    Wan port end enter 67

    Line 4

    UDP

    Wan port begin enter 69

    Wan port end enter 160

    Line 5

    UDP

    Wan port begin enter 162

    Wan port end Enter 65535

    You will need to know your Ip Address so you can put them at the end of each line so only ur xbox has access to them and no one else. you can find your xbox IP on your network settings tab on the xbox homepage just choose your network then click configure

    Really Slow downloads?

    I always stay on the active downloads page. It doesn't seem to make a difference though. I have 3 out of 4 bars connection on the network settings. I posted my wan address above a couple of posts. Thanks for all the help. Any more ideas???
